James and Robyn Thornburg
Isla - age 13
(In charge of the turkeys, ducks, laying hens, sheep)
Clare - age 11
(Tends laying hens and sheep; raises silkies (sells chicks and hatching eggs) and Holland lop rabbits)
Jude - age 9
(feeds pigs, picks berries and nuts all over the place)
Alexander - age 7
(Farmer, fixer, builder)
Benedict - age 4
(Involved in anything requiring a tractor)
Pursuing our dream of owning a hobby farm, we left our small urban market garden in Chicago in 2018 and moved to Plainwell in southwest Michigan where we expanded our production (and our family!). We are grateful to be able to supply our family and community with nutritious and delicious food.
